2025年第97屆奧斯卡頒獎典禮在洛杉磯杜比劇院舉行，由西恩貝克（Sean Baker）執導的《艾諾拉》（Anora）成為最大贏家，一舉奪得最佳影片、最佳女主角、最佳導演、最佳剪輯以及最佳原創劇本等五項大獎。而Sean Baker更以製片、編劇、剪輯和導演等多重身分，單一作品榮獲四項奧斯卡獎，追平了華特迪士尼（Walt Disney）在一個晚上獲得最多個人獎項的紀錄，寫下影史佳話。（儘管奉俊昊曾以《寄生上流》獲四項大獎，但最佳國際影片獎項歸屬於電影本身，而非導演個人。）
值得一提的是，柔伊莎達娜（Zoe Saldaña）以《璀璨女人夢》（Emilia Pérez）榮獲了最佳女配角獎，成為第一位多明尼加裔美國籍奧斯卡得主。戲服設計師Paul Tazewell憑藉《魔法壞女巫》（Wicked）獲得最佳戲服設計獎，成為該獎項首位非裔男性得主。
基倫考克金（Kieran Culkin）憑藉《跳痛之旅》（A Real Pain）獲得最佳男配角獎，安德林布洛迪（Adrien Brody）憑藉《粗獷派建築師》（The Brutalist）二度獲得最佳男主角獎，斷送了「甜茶」提摩西夏勒梅成為奧斯卡史上最年輕影帝的機會，而麥琪麥迪遜（Mikey Madison）憑藉在《艾諾拉》中的精湛演出，擊敗黛咪摩爾（Demi Moore）等強勁對手，榮獲最佳女主角獎，成為當晚的一大驚喜。
