將繃帶裝發揚光大的法國時尚設計師Hervé L. Leroux，10月6日因動脈瘤破裂過世，享年60歲。法國高級訂製與時裝公會（The Federation of Haute Couture and Fashion）證實了這項消息。

這位1957年出生於法國北部巴波姆（Bapaume）的設計師，本名原為Hervé Peugnet，在巴黎國立高等美術學院（Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux Arts，ENSBA）主修雕塑，曾經當過髮型師的他，在完成一場Chloé服裝秀的髮型工作後，決心投入設計，開始製作起帽飾與包包。

1981年，他認識了Karl Lagerfeld，並跟著他先後在Fendi和Chanel工作。他在1985年創立了自己的品牌，並在Karl Lagerfeld的建議下，將品牌名稱定為美國人較好發音的Hervé Léger，而當他將品牌在1999年賣給了BCBG Max Azria後，2000年再度創立了新品牌，同樣是在Karl Lagerfeld的建議之下，而把品牌名稱定名為Hervé L. Leroux，Leroux在法文有「紅髮」之意。

Hervé L. Leroux最被人津津樂道的代表作，絕對非「繃帶裝」莫屬。許多人會說他是繃帶裝的發明者，但事實上，在1980年代時，來自突尼西亞的時尚設計師Azzedine Alaïa也推出過繃帶裝，而Hervé L. Leroux更曾在Azzedine Alaïa旗下工作過，Azzedine Alaïa對Hervé L. Leroux宣稱繃帶裝是他自己的發明，其實一直耿耿於懷，與其說Hervé L. Leroux是繃帶裝的發明人，不如說是他將這種突顯女性身體曲線的洋裝更加發揚光大。

2004年至2006年間，Hervé L. Leroux曾擔任Ｇuy Laroche的創意總監，希拉蕊史旺（Hilary Swank）在2005年獲得奧斯卡最佳女主角獎時，所穿著的禮服就是他的設計。
Hervé L. Leroux個人品牌的門市位於巴黎塞納河左岸，擁有穩定的訂製業務，包括影星凱特布蘭琪（Cate Blanchett）、克莉絲汀史都華（Kristen Stewart）、舞孃Dita Von Teese等人都曾經穿著過他的設計。

Very sad that we are forced to say farewell to the genius @hervelegerleroux. I’m so grateful to have called him my friend after being introduced as “the ultimate” by @suzannevonaichinger and @alimahdaviparis. He made the most exquisite dresses that showcased a woman’s beauty, rather than distracting from it. I’ll always treasure my afternoons in his atelier just next to @maisonladuree, trying on dress after dress, really just for the fun of it. Hervé would exclaim “THIS dress, this dress is for YOU!” ...and occasionally, “...non, not this one. NEXT!!” We would have the best time, I honestly could have only ever worn his dresses. @hervelegerleroux IS Herve Léger (he had to change his name and start over) and he is the inventor and only true master of the iconic bandage dress. And I’d say he was the only dressmaker that could accomplish a truly modern Madame Grès goddess gown. I loved him for his wit, his candor, his sublime elegance and of course, his talent, which, came from authentic obsession, with no care for the commerciality of fashion. I’m so sad to see him go, and so abruptly. We’ve lost one of the fashion greats. My heart breaks for his constant companion, our dear Jocelyn @hervelegersister Thank you, Dear Hervé, for all of it. 沈寂了一段時間後，Hervé L. Leroux在2013年1月以客座會員的身份，加入了巴黎高級訂製服正式日程，在他位於塞納河左岸的展示間，發表他的2013年春夏高級訂製服系列，同時也有五件設計在法國時尚選品店Colette的櫥窗中展示。
當時談到自己的回歸時，Hervé Léger表示，「我從沒離開過，我只是沒舉辦任何服裝秀而已。」

同一年間，他也為模特兒Noémie Lenoir在巴黎瘋馬秀（Crazy Horse）的特別演出設計了一套表演服，他也持續為瘋馬秀的舞者設計紅毯禮服。這個法國著名歌舞表演的創意長Andrée Deissenberg，得知消息後相當震驚，因為他在一週前才與設計師見過面。
她形容Hervé Léger可能就像是典型的易怒法國人，儘管在今年稍早時把店收了，但他的狀況還是很好，「一切太令人震驚了，因為我看到的是一位充滿想法、能量和幽默感的人，還有很多留待他發揮的。」
