MY TRIP TO TAIPEI - THE CITY
The second aspect I would like to develop about Taipei is the city itself. As European (and especially as Parisian), I think one of the most impressive things about Taipei are its high buildings. Indeed, when I compare the 101 Tower with Paris’ buildings (which have no more than 6 floors), I feel particularly insignificant.

What’s more, I’m quite amazed by the well-organized, (relatively) comfortable public transit system. Well-organized, because I’ve never had to wait for a bus or a tube train for more than 6 minutes. And comfortable because of the air conditioning – unfortunately, you will seldom find a bus or a tube train with air conditioning in France.

Last but not least, I really enjoyed the lively nightlife in Taipei. After the nightfall, everybody’s out to have dinner in a restaurant, to make some shopping or to go to a night market. In Taipei, you cannot be bored!
